ESIF: European Social Fund (ESF)
Priority: Priority 4: Creating skills for the future
Funded through the ESF and The National Lottery Community Fund, the aim of this project is to support those not in education, employment or training (NEETs) and those at risk of becoming NEET. The project delivers a programme of targeted support offered by a key worker service, focused on hotspot areas. It is a flexible, personalised programme with dedicated progression coaches who work individually with 16-29 year olds to create a regularly reviewed progression plan, setting out ambitious but achievable goals. The coaches help to: Build confidence, motivation and social skills, get involved with community events or volunteering, improve CVs and interview skills, find and apply for training courses and jobs and gain local work experience.
